KÜBLER employees donate 500 euros to the Ludwigshafen food bank

Ludwigshafen, January 2024: The food bank in Bayreuther Straße is delighted to receive a donation cheque from the employees of KÜBLER, the specialist for energy-saving hall heating systems. They not only wanted to use the Christmas party to bring the old year to a cheerful close together with the entire workforce, but also to think about people who need support. To this end, they organized a raffle with over 100 prizes, including an iPhone as the main prize, which was provided by the company. This raised almost 500 euros. The food bank is delighted.
"It is always motivating for us when companies support us and our work is recognized," says Stephanie Zimmer, coordinator at the Tafel Ludwigshafen.
The company, which is known for its climate-friendly and highly innovative heating solutions for halls, has been associated with the Tafel for many years. Since 2019, an energy-efficient infrared system from KÜBLER has been heating the salesroom at Bayreuther Straße 35. When maintenance was due in 2023, this was carried out free of charge as a donation. But other campaigns for "good causes" are also a tradition at KÜBLER, whether it's blood donations or climate protection campaigns such as the donation of over 1,000 trees that have been planted in recent years thanks to the efforts of KÜBLER employees.
"We are aware of the difficult situation at the food banks, partly because family members volunteer there. It was therefore quickly decided that we wanted to support "our" food bank in LU with our Christmas campaign," explains Theresa Schneider, co-organizer of the campaign.
The Ludwigshafener Tafel employs more than 150 volunteers six days a week. They work in the transport service, receiving and distributing goods. With 51,000 hours of voluntary work per year, their commitment is impressive. The food bank is in urgent need of support because, like other of the more than 900 institutions nationwide, it has come under severe pressure due to the increasing number of refugees, partly as a result of the war in Ukraine, and inflation. The volunteers make an enormous contribution to providing for people in need in Ludwigshafen. Every month, the Ludwigshafener Tafel provides around 2,600 people in need, including around 1,000 children alone, with essential food and fresh produce. Stephanie Zimmer: "A donation like the one from the employees at KÜBLER comes at just the right time!"
