Ludwigshafen-based KÜBLER GmbH named premier finalist at the Grand Prix for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
For more than three decades, the company has been revolutionizing the market with its innovative infrared technology, which focuses on energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness and user-friendliness. With this technology, which heats the surfaces it encounters rather than the air, KÜBLER has managed to save up to 70 % of energy in tall hall buildings compared to conventional systems. This impressive energy efficiency is the result of a passion for innovation and sustainability that is at the heart of the company. KÜBLER invests a significant portion of its profits in research and development. This practice makes the company the innovation leader in the industry and is crucial to its ability to achieve positive sales development and avoid layoffs in times of economic challenges, such as Covid lockdown or the energy crisis.
KÜBLER's unique selling points, such as high energy efficiency, the ability to use different energy sources, including regenerative ones, in an energy-flexible manner, the integrated LED hall lighting in the FUTURA 2in1 system and the E-Hybrid function in MAXIMA E-Hybrid, have made the company the leading expert in exploiting savings potential in hall buildings and catapulted it to the forefront of technology at national and international level.
KÜBLER GmbH owes this leading position not only to its technical expertise, but also to its pronounced customer orientation. The company relies on personal and regular communication with its customers and uses their feedback to continuously develop its products. In addition, KÜBLER emphasizes the individuality of each system and its adaptation to specific customer requirements, with solution orientation as the maxim.
The company cooperates with various universities and colleges. These collaborations enable the exchange of expertise and the development of innovative and climate-friendly technologies. The company has developed a digital offer configurator that is supported by AI and is set to revolutionize both internal processes and customer interaction.
KÜBLER's sustainability strategy covers the areas of ecology, economy and social responsibility. The company focuses on creating long-term value and solid growth, in particular by manufacturing high-quality, durable products and reducing the distance traveled.
The "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" is being awarded for the 30th time by the Oskar Patzelt Foundation and this year's motto is "With confidence towards the future". A total of 4,600 medium-sized companies as well as business-friendly municipalities and banks from all over Germany were nominated. The independent jury traditionally bases its vote on the following criteria: overall development of the company, creation and safeguarding of jobs and apprenticeships, innovation and modernization, commitment to the region as well as service and customer proximity. KÜBLER GmbH - Energiesparende Hallenheizungen" was nominated for the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes" for the 16th time since 2006 and was honored as "Prize Winner" in 2008. While this award was still purely focused on the Rhineland-Palatinate/Saarland competition region, this time KÜBLER had to assert itself at national level, making it one of only five companies out of 4,600 nominees to be honored as a premier finalist.
"This award recognizes our team's many years of commitment to the energy transition and the decarbonization of a particularly energy-intensive building segment, namely halls. Being named a premier finalist at the 100th 'Großer Preis des Mittelstandes' gala in Düsseldorf is a great honor for us and an incentive to continue on our path in the future," says Managing Director Thomas Kübler.

The uniform, coordinated set of regulations for the energy requirements for new buildings, existing buildings and the use of renewable energies to supply heating and cooling to buildings is intended to bring together various laws on building energy efficiency and heat use. And thus significantly simplify the previously highly complex and difficult to understand landscape of energy-saving legislation for building owners and planners. Drafts of the law have been available since 2017. After endless postponements over legislative periods, the GEG was passed yesterday in the Bundestag.
