Illuminated stage technology in event hall.

CO2 - saving KÜBLER hall heating heats up Berlin's cultural cathedral.

"How do you get this box hot?" was the question posed when techno pope Dimitri Hegemann wanted to use the old combined heat and power plant in Berlin-Mitte as a cultural and event location. A cathedral of concrete and steel with gigantic dimensions and a height of almost 30 meters.

The combined heat and power plant on Köpenicker Strasse is an impressive example of innovative and sustainable heating technology from KÜBLER. "Thanks to the H.Y.B.R.I.D. system, we were not only able to heat economically with infrared, but also use the energy from the waste heat perfectly for the conventional heating systems," says Hegemann. And Klaus Bernzen, Technical Manager at the combined heat and power plant, emphasizes: "The use of residual heat from the infrared heaters also met our ecological requirements."

14 years after commissioning the sustainable heating system, Dimitri Hegemann takes stock: "There is no better heating system for our purposes."

The H.Y.B.R.I.D. system from KÜBLER was awarded the German Sustainability Award in 2012 and has since proven that ecological heating is possible and economically viable in large industrial buildings.
