Climate-friendly technologies: Companies are active energy users.
Private customers are slowing down, companies are speeding up - that's the basic mood in the country in a nutshell. This can be observed in many places and was also confirmed in the panel discussion that took place as part of the official opening of a CO₂-free hall heating system in Langschlag, Lower Austria (RES project) at Christoph Buxbaum GmbH. Moderated by Tom Meiler (BR3), a central topic of the energy transition was highlighted here: the different willingness of private households and companies to invest.
KLAR! manager Roswitha Haghofer advises municipalities in Lower Austria on transformation and made it clear that private households are often reluctant to invest due to high initial investment costs, even if there is long-term savings potential.
Companies, on the other hand, are strategically investing in modern, climate-friendly technologies, allowing them to benefit from significant efficiency gains and cost reductions, emphasized Roland Lifka from Synto GmbH, which supports industrial companies in energy consulting.
So while the private sector is hesitating, industry is focusing on forward-looking investments and using the energy transition as an economic opportunity. Because investments in climate-friendly technologies pay off.
