Back to basics - everything you need to know about dark radiant heaters as a heating system for your halls
One of the biggest advantages of a Heating system with dark radiators is that you can only heat the usable area of your hall and avoid layers of air above it. In addition, the heat does not take a detour via the air, which is why the dark radiant heaters can be switched on and off just as quickly as the light. With this fast response time, the heaters adapt perfectly to the dynamics of everyday life, for example when doors are opened. Dark radiant heaters only heat where heat is needed and therefore save energy - saving up to 70 percent of energy costs compared to conventional heating systems. Employees also find the heat from the dark radiators particularly pleasant because it is similar to the natural heating principle of the sun. This allows them to work more productively. So much for the advantages. But which technology should you know about if you want to buy a dark radiant heater?
60 % Radiant efficiency - our PRIMA entry-level line
Do you have to do without an infrared heating system with dark radiators on a tight budget? Not at all! We prove this to you with our entry-level line PRIMA. Even if you are on a budget, you can buy a dark radiator and benefit from the numerous advantages of infrared technology. The entry-level range from KÜBLER is cost-effective yet powerful. It uses the best burner technology that we originally developed for the MAXIMA high-end series. The result is remarkable for a standard class heater. Dark radiant heaters from the PRIMA line bring a radiation efficiency of around 60 percent into the hall in the form of directly usable infrared heat.
This pays off directly for users of the technology. They save around ten percent on heating costs compared to conventional standard infrared appliances. The entry-level line is equally suitable for New hall buildings and renovation projects. The only important factor is the ceiling height. It should be at least four meters.
72 % Radiant efficiency - our high performance OPTIMA plus series dark spotlights
Going one step further OPTIMA plus. Since its introduction, the infrared heater series has been one of the most efficient and powerful dark radiators you can buy. KÜBLER has developed a burner technology especially for this series that ensures a homogeneous distribution of the gas-air mixture. It produces a long flame and scores with excellent energy transfer from flame to radiant tube. This means that the heat from these dark radiators is transferred evenly to the room environment - regardless of whether the hall height is four or 35 meters.
The outer casing of the high-end heater is also closed and fully insulated. The burner and radiant tube are geometrically optimized so that as little heat as possible escapes upwards. All in all, OPTIMA plus achieves a radiation efficiency of 72 percent. Depending on the hall project, operators can save up to 30 percent energy compared to conventional infrared technologies. The investment in dark radiant heaters from the OPTIMA plus series therefore pays for itself in two to five years.
80 % Radiant efficiency - our most powerful dark spotlight in the MAXIMA series
The series MAXIMA is the high-efficiency line from KÜBLER. In six years of development, the engineers have succeeded in setting benchmarks in the world of dark radiators with new technologies. For example, they have developed a new burner technology - including a system that preheats the combustion air. With minimized convection losses, it achieves an enormously high radiation efficiency of 80 percent (measured according to DIN EN 416-2). As a result, users of MAXIMA dark radiators save up to 45 percent on energy costs compared to standard infrared heaters. They also protect the environment thanks to low consumption values and the hearing of their employees. Because no infrared heater is quieter. Last but not least, the MAXIMA series impresses with its design. This has been confirmed not only by numerous customers from all over the world, but also by the international design competition "Design Plus powered at ISH". It has awarded MAXIMA a seal of quality.
MAXIMA, OPTIMA plus, PRIMA and more - the selection of KÜBLER dark radiators will convince everyone
In addition to the MAXIMA, OPTIMA plus and PRIMA series of dark radiant heaters, KÜBLER also offers other infrared systems that can be individually adapted to hall geometries: For example the NRV multi-burner system. These are multi-burners that are connected in series - with a continuous radiant tube. They are ideal for large areas and low ceiling heights.
Energy flexibility in the energy transition
FUTURA, the future-oriented energy-flexible multi-energy IR heating system, is the dark radiator for the energy revolution. Open to renewable energies such as green electricity, blue or green hydrogen, biogas, (biogenic) liquid gas and methane, this world first allows you to use the energy that is currently available at low cost. In addition, the dark spotlight innovation integrates the hall lighting in one device and thus also ensures the economic transformation into the energy revolution. And if you have access to inexpensive PV electricity, use the new MAXIMA line MAXIMA E-Hybrid.
Intelligent control systems to match your dark radiators for greater efficiency
If you buy a dark spotlight and want it to develop its full energy-saving potential, you need another key component in addition to the devices: intelligent control systems. KÜBLER specializes in their development. In order to optimize the control of heating systems with dark radiators, we have developed a modular control system called CELESTRA developed. This is a highly functional, intuitive control cockpit that allows users to adapt system operation to changing requirements and operate at optimum efficiency levels. Up to 20 % additional savings can be generated in this way - even more, depending on the project.
One of the most important modules: E.M.M.A. (Energy Monitoring & Management Application). With this intelligent software tool, users can analyze, archive, compare and document temperature curves, heating output and consumption data. This provides important information for the continuous optimization of the heating process and creates the basis for certifications and audits, for example in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001.
Save even more energy: Complete H.Y.B.R.I.D. system recovers heat from exhaust gas from hall heating systems and production processes
Of course, KÜBLER offers much more than just dark radiators as individual components. In order to achieve maximum energy efficiency, we have developed a complete system called H.Y.B.R.I.D. which combines infrared and hydraulic systems. As a complete system, H.Y.B.R.I.D. integrates high-efficiency infrared heaters such as MAXIMA, digital controls such as CELESTRA and a heat exchanger called O.P.U.S. X. A combination that makes it possible for the first time to use the residual heat from dark radiators to heat offices, for example. And more: the energy flows from production processes or from solar thermal energy (System HelioB.R.I.D.) can be combined and used in the hybrid system.
To do this, O.P.U.S. X extracts the energy from the exhaust gas and transfers it to a storage medium, usually water. The hot water can then be fed into the heating circuit return of a pumped hot water heating system via a buffer tank. In this way, you can recover up to 15 percent of the energy that was previously lost to the environment.
In terms of energy efficiency, the combination of dark radiators, controls and residual heat recovery is virtually unbeatable: Up to 70 % energy savings have been demonstrated in reference projects to date. It is not for nothing that H.Y.B.R.I.D. was awarded the German Sustainability Award as Germany's most sustainable product.
